Education offerings at Temple Beth El

TBE School – Temple Beth El’s Religious School – will have its first session of the new school year on Sunday, September 6, starting at 9:30am. This year, there are changes at TBE School; the L’dor V’dor Initiative will reduce school tuition for our families to $100 per student, for the school year. TBE School students are also encouraged to participate in the UJC Community Hebrew School, which meets at our synagogue on Monday afternoons.

Torah Study – Our Torah Study group will meet every Thursday morning at 10:30am throughout the summer. The weekly Torah portion is studied primarily in English – no prior experience with Hebrew or Torah is required!

New Adult Bnai Mitzvah Class – TBE’s second Adult Bnai Mitzvah class is now forming. The group will begin meeting regularly after the High Holy Days; a 12 to 18 month-long learning process is ex-pected.

Exploring Judaism – Exploring Judaism is a group that meets to discuss a wide range of Jewish topics, including Jewish prayers and services, current events, Jewish practices, and more. The group also reads and discusses non-fiction books about Judaism a few times each year. The next session will take place on Wednesday, August 19, from 2-4pm, when the book Gonzo Judaism will be discussed.
