UJC Top Three
UJC Top Three
From Sarah Barnett, Director of Development
As always, there is so much to share and hard to pick just a few snippets. But here goes:
1) During our Joint Religious School event we hosted children from four area synagogues to enjoy a morning of Jewish Culture, including art, dance, food, and music. Rachel, the adorable young lady in the photo is from Temple Beth El, and is showing off her artistic interpretation of the Shema prayer, created during her art segment with the talented Gavrielle Bargash.
2) We recently held two Annual Campaign events, one Saturday night and one on Sunday morning during which we engaged 32 community volunteers and created the momentum to add $78,000 of campaign commitments to our 2020 Annual Campaign which is still running at about a 5% increase. This is a tremendous number for the week that BEGINS the end of our Annual Campaign work, and is impossible to accomplish without the dedication of both an amazing staff and amazing volunteers.
3) Steve Wendell arrived home from joining 80 of his JCC executive director colleagues at a national conference in Dallas. We continue to enjoy, connect, and benefit from our reentry into the JCCA world as we explore best practices in the Jewish outreach and education world of the 21st Century.
None of this is possible without your help! Together, we all make it happen.
